Via-attend
Via-attend is an attendance product by DevOps.to. It lets staff mark attendance by sending a WhatsApp message — no app to install, no fingerprint machine, no register to sign.
Employees already have WhatsApp. They send a message when they arrive and when they leave. Their manager sees who is present, who is late and who is absent, and downloads a monthly report for payroll.
It is built for small and medium businesses in India, including teams spread across sites, shops and client locations where fixed attendance hardware is not practical.

How it works
1. Staff send a message
An employee messages the company's WhatsApp number to check in or check out. They pick from a short menu, so there is nothing to learn and nothing to install.
2. We record the time
Via-attend records the check-in and check-out time against that employee and replies to confirm. Late arrivals, half days and absences are worked out from the company's own shift timings.
3. Managers see the day
Managers open a web dashboard to see who is present, absent or late, approve leave requests, and download a monthly attendance report for payroll.
What the employer gets
Your own WhatsApp number
Every customer connects their own WhatsApp Business Account to Via-attend. Staff message your company's number, not ours, and the account stays owned and controlled by you.
Connecting takes a minute: you sign in with Meta from your Via-attend console, choose the number you want to use, and we set it up for you. You can disconnect it at any time from your Meta Business settings.
How we handle your data
We receive the WhatsApp messages your staff send to your business number, and we send replies on your behalf. We use that information for one purpose only: running the attendance service for the company that owns it.
We do not sell it, we do not use it for advertising, and one customer's data is never shown to another customer. Each company's records are kept separate from every other company's.
